So you've probably already read about me, now is for the detail on how I like to shoot weddings, landscapes, anything..
To repeat - I like to do things a little differently to most wedding photographers. I would say that I'm untraditional, creative and love the stuff out of the ordinary. I honestly believe that this allows my couples to feel like they can do anything on their wedding day. However mad it might be!
This approach does not mean that I won't be capturing the important bits; the first kiss, the first dance, the speeches, family shots. I want to capture these shots that reflect the people and personalities in them - that's when we hit the jackpot of making these photo memories last forever. Not just 'another wedding photo'. I want couples, families and guests to explore a mad idea they might have in their head and this is where we find the realness in a creative way.
I won't be carrying loads of kit, extra lighting and massive suitcases of lenses as I want to be limbered up to capture everything from the epic to the unnoticed. I prefer to use the natural light on offer to make your portraits more natural and ultimately less wooden.
Finally; we need to embrace that wedding days are NEVER perfect. From the famous British rain to drunken antics on the dance floor, to aunty Dawn having a few too many wines. I want to capture it all as these are the best bits and you'll look back and think "We had an amazing wedding day".
If you're still reading and find this approach exciting then please say hello!
