It's July and the it's the turn of Kate & Ricky to get married after a whole 14 years of being together - it was probably about time that they got around to it. We were at the Double Tree Hilton in Chester, where Ricky actually works. So, it was amazing to see the whole of his team come together to make sure they had the best time ever - the perks of working at a beautiful venue ey?
From the very first message, I just knew how this day would go - relaxed, elegant and full of laughs, which is absolutely perfect for me. Without sounding too cliche; I could really sense the connection between Kate & Ricky, which is so evident in their images and this is why this wedding was really special.
Kate spent the morning in the suite surrounded by a close knit group of friends and family sipping champagne, whilst Ricky was at home with his groomsmen and their dog Ozzy - the contrast. Kate honestly looked really amazing in her dress from Karen Lesley Bridal Emporium, the sleeve and neckline detail was next level! ... for the record, Ricky didn't look bad in his suit either.
I can't go much further without mentioning the extra little details of the day, which is what makes every wedding unique in it's own way. Firstly, the cake tower - wow and I think it takes the title of the best cake I've seen and tasted this year! Secondly, I have to mention Ozzy's little cameo in the day - like true dog owners, the day wouldn't be complete without seeing him and I'm sure he loved his photoshoot really.
I also have to mention the VERY funny speeches, which even had me in stitches - I loved the idea of guests having secret envelopes of embarrassing images of the past. This really showed how long Kate & Ricky had been building their lives together. I even had time to witness the much anticipated Stag Awards, where the lads got together to reminisce on all the antics before the wedding and of course, shots were involved.
The evening was then full of games, beautiful food, karaoke and plenty of dancing. I absolutely loved spending the day with Kate & Ricky and all of their guests - such a beautiful day full of natural and genuine moments.
