I wish I could shoot more weddings that looked like this ...

When you're in Wales, you're never too far away from a mountain, a beach or a huge forest and you just have to take advantage of what you've got and use it to the max! Elen & Dylan are both lucky enough to have grown up and still call Snowdonia home. So, taking in the incredible landscape was a huge part of their day.

We still had the tradition of a church wedding, which turned out to be two minutes behind Elen's childhood home in Blaenau Ffestiniog and it seemed like half the town had come out to see Elen arrive. She arrived in a vintage VW camper, which was just as picture perfect as the bride and groom. Honestly, church weddings are always something special but this one was super emotional and it felt very fitting being in Elen's hometown.

A few group portraits and a confetti throw later, I was following the VW camper up into the slate covered mountains above Blaenau Ffestiniog for some post wedding photographs of dreams! Take note - It's always handy in Wales to know someone who has the keys for the gate and access to the private road. The scenery up there was just incredible and I loved how much we could incorporate this into the images.

Whilst we spend a while admiring the view, the guests were all back at Bron Eifion well and truly getting the party started. As soon as we got back, I swear I could see a tray of shots being delivered by the bar staff. The rest of the afternoon was filled with beer, vitamin D and not one but two handwritten songs performed by the uni girls and bridesmaids at speech time.

Even more guests arrived as the sun was setting and the evening became one big Taylor Swift party and the dance floor was PACKED all night - just how I like it!
